Frequently Asked Questions
Does every family member need to pay?
Only one person (the account holder) has to pay. All other family members and friends are included free! Can strangers see our newsletter?
Your messages, photos, and newsletters are kept private so only your family and friends can see them. How do I add family members?
You can add or remove family members at any time in your account settings by adding their phone numbers. Then they can begin sending messages and photos right away!Who designs the newsletter?
When you sign up, you get to design and preview the name and subtitle of your newsletter. Then each month, our system automatically arranges the newsletter for you. Just like a real newspaper editor, our AI combines related stories and rewords them to create a cohesive story. It also arranges the layout and places your images to make it visually appealing. What happens with our photos?
We store your photos securely for 60 days before archiving them, and 1 year before deleting them. You can also choose to have your photos printed and mailed to family members. The archived photos are used for our "Year in Review" feature, which makes a special end-of-year newsletter with highlights from the past year! When will the first newsletter send?
That's up to you! When you sign up, you get to choose the printing date for the first newsletter. Then the newsletters will automatically send monthly. How does the 'cutoff date' work?
Since printing and mailing the paper newsletters takes time, we have a cutoff date for each newsletter. Any messages or photos sent after the cutoff date will be included in the next month's newsletter. Is every photo included in the newsletter?
That depends on the number of photos sent in text messages. There is a limited amount of space in the newsletter which may result in some photos being left out. Good news though - all photos are available for 60 days in your family's online photo library! So after you read the newsletter, everyone can browse and/or download the latest photos online.Do printed copies arrive at the same time as emails?
We do our best to line up print and email arrival dates, but there is some variability due to postal service delays. We print and mail the paper copies a few days before the email newsletters are sent. What if some family members send more updates than others?
Not every message will necessarily be included in the newsletter. Our system does its best to balance and spread out the number of updates from each family member, so everyone gets a chance to share their news. The AI editor also attempts to prioritize what seem like the most important updates so nothing gets missed. Can I use the "Year in Review" newsletter as my family's Christmas card?
Absolutely! We send out the "Year in Review" newsletter around Thanksgiving each year. Once it arrives, we'll unlock a special "Christmas Letter" item for sale in your family's online gift shop, where you enter your family's Christmas Card recipients, and we'll handle printing and mailing your family's holiday greetings for you!Keep Your Family Close:
